I Finished My Son's Room!!

I am so happy to be done with this big boy's room. I had so much fun putting it all together. I didn't realize how much I love doing children's bedrooms until I started on my own. Boy's rooms can be so fun and masculine, they don't have to be boring or cheesy:)

For starters when we first built our home, my awesome sister did the wall paneling for me. This look is achieved by using two various widths of mdf board stacked.  I love the dimension and architectural interest it adds to the room. The wall color is Restoration Hardware's light silver sage. I think it's the perfect blue tone.

I'm always nervous to hang decor items above a bed in fear that it could fall on their head while  sleeping. I was in luck when I found this cardboard deer head from the etsy seller TrueAmbition99. I love the way it looks.

The gray and white pillow sham is from Pottery Barn, the Aztec, "Ezra" pillow is from my shop. You can purchase it here. The back of the pillow is black and white stripe, love it:)

The plaid duvet is from Pottery Barn, the gray quilt is from Overstock as well as the mid-century bench and the dhurrie rug. I found the nightstand and the woven charcoal basket at Home Goods.

The wall mount lamp is from Ikea, and I'm in love with the way it looks! I had the vintage books and globe from a while back, not sure of the source.

I am really happy with the way my son's room turned out. I would love to help you fall in love with your home, if you need help making over a space or just need to bounce ideas off of me, please don't hesitate to contact me stacichavez@ymail.com. I am confidant you will love the results!

Your son's room looks amazing! I'm in the middle of re-doing my son's room with a queen bed (he had 2 twins, but kept falling out of it!) Anyway, I know how much time and thought goes into a child's room and it turned out fab! I love, love, love the rug too!
