My favorite part is picking out the final details like hardware, lighting, and of course the back splash. We wanted a look that would be on the traditional/contemporary side. I love the way the hardware and lighting work together.
My client wanted the kitchen to have a lot of light since the basement doesn't have a lot of natural light coming through. I started with the tile and found the 6x24 natural color tile, I thought a brick pattern would be a great way to add some character and pattern to this space. I think it works perfectly with the shape of this kitchen.
We went with a off-white solid surface countertop that looks so seamless. We debated between a couple different countertop options including natural stone. When I came across this solid surface it was really the perfect color and such a durable option, the price was so much better than natural stone and I love the look!
I wanted to find a backsplash that would be the icing on the cake. I have wanted to use this lantern tile in a project for some time now and this was the perfect opportunity. The backsplash has the perfect dose of pattern, personality and works beautifully in this kitchen.
I am so excited about the way this beautiful kitchen came together, I think it will serve them well:)
