Before & After/ A Kitchen With A Fresh New Face...

Remember this post I did a while back about the staircase remodel? Well this is the same client that not only tackled the wainscot project but also her kitchen. She sent me these "after" pictures and I wanted to share them with you.

I went over to her house for a consult and she  explained to me the concerns she had with her kitchen. I could see that her kitchen really needed some added personality and character. For starters, I suggested painting the kitchen a lighter color to brighten things up.

I thought that the window above the kitchen sink should have the appearance of looking taller to match up with the height of the cabinets. I knew that by adding some height to the window that this would make the room appear taller and more open. I suggested adding a fabric pelmet box and a roman shade to soften the overall look and bring in some color and pattern.

Adding a back splash was a must to bring in some much needed texture and color. My client likes the traditional look so I suggested going with the timeless subway tile in gray and adding a lighter grout to really make the tile pop. I love the new look the back splash brings to this space.

Lastly, I suggested adding vinyl chalkboard paper to her pantry door to tie in the black appliances and for a fun added detail.

I love my job and it's so rewarding when I hear how happy my client's are with the new look!

If you would like my help with your home no matter where you live, please email me at stacichavez@ymail.com. I'm confidant you will be happy with the "after"!
