Pantone color 2013...

Just in case you have not heard the good news, the lively rich hue emerald green will take center stage for 2013. I am one of those people that always wants to find out ahead of time what the new trends/colors are going to be for the upcoming season. I am pleasantly surprised and happy about this pretty shade. I have to say that I genuinely love the emerald green color. I can see myself going a little overboard on this new color trend..

Pantone/Emerald

Last year's pantone color, tangerine tango did not do a whole lot for me. I maybe purchased one or two clothing items in the tangerine shade, not the most flattering color on me and I didn't purchase any home decor relating to this color.

Could you just die over this image? I love all the beautiful rich colors the artist used in this landscape. I would do just about anything to escape the inversion here in Utah along with the cold temps and move right on over into this image.

I am a sucker for anything button tufted when it comes to sofa's. This piece with the tailored skirt, tufting and the rich elegant emerald color is such a statement piece. I wouldn't have thought to pair it with the rug pictured but I do love the combo!

If you don't want to make a huge emerald green investment, you could do something a little more simple like adding a lamp in this pretty color. I love the vintage/Hollywood regency style this cute little lamp exuberates!
