Before & After: A gorgeous new floor!

I had a friend contact me for my advice and opinion on what I would do for flooring in their cute home. They originally had hardwood floor that was defective and cracking it was dark so naturally it showed everything.  After going over a few options with her, nothing was quite clicking in my mind.. then it came to me. I am head over heels in love with the classic herringbone pattern. I thought this style would look gorgeous in her home and add instant style!  I suggested going with a light tile to really brighten things up. We then decided that a high-gloss tile would look really stunning and seamless.

I went over to her house to check things out and literally had goose bumps I was so impressed with the execution of this amazing tile and pattern. I suddenly had thoughts of ripping up  my hardwood flooring and starting over with this same look. Reality, I would never do that but I am in love with how it looks! I love when people are willing to take design risks even if it's out of their comfort zone!

That looks fabulous! I toured the huge house above the Draper Temple during the Parade of Homes and their master bath had herringbone flooring that was light gray/white. It's beautiful!

Terri,
Thank you for the nice compliment! I was going to help a designer work on that home and it fell through. I wanted to go check it out and never made it up there. How did you like the interior? That sounds like a pretty master bath. I don't think you can ever go wrong with the herringbone pattern!
