Kitchen designs...

What would you say is the most important room in the house? I'm going with the kitchen. If I were in the market for purchasing a home, I would place a lot of importance on the kitchen. All the other rooms in the home minus the bathroom can be changed to a degree with the right furniture/decor. The kitchen sets the stage for the rest of the house and it is where people spend a great majority of their time. If I were remodeling my home, I would allocate a great portion of my budget to ensuring that my kitchen looks and feels like a space that I would want to spend some quality time in.
I always turn to pinterest for inspiration for whatever room I am focusing my efforts whether it's for personal inspiration or to help clients with ideas. Below are images I pinned that define my ideal aesthetic for kitchen inspiration!

Could you just die over this tile herringbone floor, the cabinetry, the lighting, the ship lap siding on the ceiling and of course the gorgeous bar stools.

Or how about these gorgeous cararra marble counter tops, the perfectly staged dishes displayed in the open shelving and these fun tangerine tango colored bar stools. All of which make this kitchen fabulous!

Of course I love the light oak flooring, the dramatic chimney hood, the pendent lights and the tile back splash is absolutely stunning! I could move right into this kitchen and not change a thing!

I love the contrast of the white kitchen and the espresso colored floors, makes for such a dramatic look. I think in the galley kitchen design a show-stopper light fixture is mandatory to take center stage in this type of layout.

I always tend to leen towards kitchens that are infused with some green/blue color tones. I love the fresh colors with their ability to really brighten up a space, it makes me feel happy!

I'm not normally into the rustic style but when it's done the right way, I'm a big fan! The wood cabinetry, paired with the metal bar stools, open shelving, amazing light fixture, ship lap siding and fun decor make this kitchen look incredible!

From these images, what would you say is your favorite kitchen look? I would love to know!

that's really tough since they are all really beautiful in there own way. And you're right, as I'm browsing various homes on the market I'm placing a lot of emphasis on places that have major kitchen potential. We did a renovation of our kitchen in the home we're in now, and I'm very prepared to have to do the same in another home if need be. A lot of what I see is ho-hum builder grade materials and not much personality or pizazz involved. Of the images above, I love the galley kitchen but I also love the one with the orange stools. That one is nice because you can really add splashes of whatever color you're feeling. But I've also been drawn to kitchens with darker/warmer wood too.
