A new look for a nook...

Sorry for the lack of posts, life has been busy lately with the Easter holiday and my daughter is on Spring Break. We have been having a lot of fun around here enjoying snow one day and 70 degree weather the next, this is Spring time weather here in Utah!

I have a few fun projects in the works. I wanted to share the progress of a project I started working on a while back. I will go back and take more pictures once the project is complete.

My client wanted to lighten things up around her home. I suggested going with a lighter paint color on the walls and painting all of her doors, trim and molding white. Also, I suggested adding some wainscoting (I know big surprise) to her nook area. I love the classic design of this style with the simple lines. You know how much I love wainscot, I think it adds tons of character and visual interest to a space. We added a wood window box above her patio doors to add some height and make the doors appear taller.

Me and my client picked out this pretty fabric to make drapery panels for the patio doors. We also found 12 frames to create a gallery wall. I'm excited to show you the finished space. I love the progress so far!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Love the addition of the wanscoting to this space - a great choice. And some panels up on those doors is going to really soften the look up too. Looking forward to more updates - and enjoy your time off!
